Guys. Fun, interesting, and informative stuff. Again.
As former African safari guide, and author Peter Alison advises to avoid being eaten by large predators in Africa – Whatever you do, don’t run. Food runs.
The idea being a lion or leopard that isn’t hungry won’t rise and attack someone walking. (though a really hungry one still might). But a sated one will still rise, chase, and attack someone running because running / action triggers an instinct to attack and eat. Even if they are not hungry.
The same with fish. A fly that mimics food will entice a hit from a hungry fish. But to catch a fish when they are not hungry, a proper manipulation, fly-action, may trigger the instinct to rise, attack and take the fly.
Perfect analogy as usual David! Thanks for dropping by and adding your perspective – always a welcome contribution.
